The Beatitudes begin with the promise of the Kingdom and end with the affirmation of the Kingdom. So we may call them pillars in God’s Cathedral of Blessing. Like the stations of the cross, they  have an order to them, and lead us on systematically. Playing leap-frog is not an option. Notice that each one has a promise attached.
