“Blessed,”does not describe people who feel happy. The biblical idea is much deeper. The word points to a condition of being favored by God—a state that does not depend on wealth, status, comfort, or even present circumstances.
The question is not, “Am I happy?”
The better question is, “Am I blessed?”
